I'm talking at Umbraco Spark in March, will you be there too?

What is Umbraco Spark?

Umbraco Spark is an innovation conference about Umbraco.

Where is it?

It will be taking place at a venue called M-Shed in Bristol which is in the South West of England.

How good is it?

I've added it to my list of must go to conferences each year, along with codegarden in Denmark and Umbraco UK Festival in London.

What will I get out of going?

As well as attending the talks and learning from them, you will get to meet lots of people from the Umbraco community and get to talk to them about what you are working on and the problems you come up against. I like to attend the conferences with an objective, last year I wanted to talk to Stephan Gay about an issue I was having with App Veyor and an Umbraco library not building properly. Actually being able to talk to him in person and show him the issue I was having helped me solve it quickly.

When is it?

It is on the 6th March from 9am til 5pm then onto the evening social event near the venue until 11pm. This is optional.

How much will it cost?

It will cost £100 (+ £20 VAT)

Here is the link to buy it on eventbrite, or you can go through the Umbraco Spark site first if you want.

How long have I got to decide?

I think you have until 20th February to buy your tickets, but it's best to book as soon as possible so you don't miss out if they sell out and so they have time to order the right amount of food, drinks and swag.

You mentioned swag, what are we talking?

We will all get an Umbraco Spark t-shirt and beautiful notepad.

What about refreshments

Last year there was lots of tea, coffee and water throughout the day with beers at the end of the day. The food was very nice too and it is all included in the price of the ticket.

Where is good to stay?

Last year I stayed at the Mercure Bristol Holland House Hotel, which is near the venue and has a pool. It was very nice.
