I've been creating Umbraco 8 packages recently. My latest package is a property editor and grid editor control which lets you search for and use animated gifs using the giphy api.

Property Editor

Use the property editor to let you search giphy for an image and use it like the media picker.

Grid Editor

Use the grid editor to let you search giphy for an image and use it in the grid.

Umbraco 7 Version

This package has proved quite popular, especially since I made it work in the grid editor. People asked for it to be created for Umbraco 7 as well, so I have done.
